Dr. Sarah Mir recently moved to Connecticut and is excited to join the team at Family Dental Practice of Newington. She was born and raised in Long Island, New York but has spent the last few years working in Washington, DC. She received her bachelor’s degree from New York University and went on to graduate summa cum laude from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where she received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Following dental school, Dr. Sarah completed an additional two years of training in pediatric dentistry at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull in Brooklyn, NY. Her education includes treating children with special needs, dental phobias, and the medically compromised. After completing her training, Dr. Sarah became a board certified pediatric dentist through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
While in dental school, Dr. Sarah traveled to Madagascar where she treated children with no access to dental care. This experience solidified her decision to become a pediatric dentist. She is committed to making every dental visit fun for both the patient and parent.
Outside of being a pediatric dentist, Dr. Sarah loves spending time with her husband and son, traveling, and reading. She can’t wait to meet you!
